“I had been planning a shed and garden clear out for some time but as it was too much work to do on my own, I had employed a local firm to help. We opened the shed and within seconds of dragging an old cover out, we were surrounded be a swarm of wasps. We tried to chase them away with a fly spray, but after a couple of nasty stings, we beat a hasty retreat. My arms hurt like hell and I was not in a mood to play around. I called in the “heavies”.
I found Onguard Pest Control on the internet and gave them a call. They explained that the best way to get rid of wasps was to use a powder spray on the nest in an evening when all the wasps were at home and that by morning all of them would be dead.
I explained that I had two people working for me that day and needed it done immediately. The Technician was on his way to another call but agreed to make a detour and use a wet spray for more immediate results. He explained that would not kill any wasps that were not in the nest and that the wasps returning later in the day would not be happy. I didn’t care… I needed to get rid of them now so I could continue with the clear out.
Keith arrived 40 minutes later and after getting kitted out in his “wasp suit”, he attended to my problem. He sprayed the wasp nest and treated the surrounding walls to help kill the wasps that were not “at home”. Within half an hour they were dead. The odd returning wasp slowed us down occasionally but we were able to get on with clearing the shed and surrounding garden.
